CLOUDSAT TEAM

Meet Deanna TeBockhorst, CloudSat Director of Education and Public Outreach

Deanna joined the CloudSat team in August 2007.

    Education:

Related Experience:

Meet Graeme Stephens, Professor, CloudSat Mission Principal Investigator.

    Education:
  • B.S. from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in Physics.
  • Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in Meteorology.

Research Interests: Prof. Stephens' research activities focus on atmospheric radiation and on the application of remote sensing in climate research, with particular emphasis on understanding the role of hydrological processes in climate change. His work has dealt with the derivation of cloud properties from both space borne and aircraft measurements and the application of this information to problems of better understanding the physical processes that define the Earth's atmosphere.

Meet Matt Rogers, CloudSat Outreach science liaison

Matt began working with the CloudSat outreach program in 2002.

    Education:
  • B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in Physics
  • M.S. from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, in Atmospheric Science
  • Ph.D. from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, in Atmospheric Science

Related Experience: Matt is a GLOBE-trained educator, and travels to schools to inform teachers and students about the CloudSat mission. He enjoys exploring the connections between scientific research and student enquiries about the environment.

Meet Richard Austin, CloudSat Mission Research Scientist.

    Education:
  • B.S. from the University of Kentucky, in Electrical Engineering.
  • M.S. from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), in Electrical Engineering.
  • Post Doctorate Studies at CSIRO in Melbourne, Australia
